Mövenpick BDMS

2020

Bangkok

Originally sold to Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS) in 2016, the Swissôtel Nai Lert Park Bangkok underwent a major transformation to become the Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok, a leading wellness and medical resort. The property reopened in 2019, following a partnership between BDMS and Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, positioning itself as one of Thailand’s premier wellness clinics.

The renovation aimed to convert the historic Park Nai Lert Hotel into a state-of-the-art medical resort, equipped with advanced healthcare infrastructure and cutting-edge medical facilities. The project involved significant upgrades to the back-of-house areas, optimizing storage and staff facilities. A new glazed, covered passageway was introduced to seamlessly connect the hotel with the medical center, while a redesigned drop-off canopy enhanced the guest arrival experience. Additional exterior upgrades included repainting the building’s façade, resurfacing balcony areas and implementing a new traffic circulation system to improve overall site flow. Interior refurbishments were carried out in partnership with LEO International Design Group. The design process required meticulous coordination with Mövenpick’s senior management and frequent presentations to client/stakeholders to secure approvals.
