Public House is a hotel refurbishment project situated in the lively Sukhumvit district, transforming the former Euro Grande hotel with a focus on revamping the façade. Located at a prominent crossroads, the building needed to make a bold visual statement that would stand out in the bustling cityscape. The design concept centered on capturing the essence of Bangkok’s energetic nightlife, reflecting the sights and sounds that characterize the area after dark.

The façade design employed a modern reinterpretation of classical framing and hierarchy, with a focus on creating visual depth through the use of layered wall tiles. Colored ceramic tiles with a glossy finish were chosen to rejuvenate the building’s exterior, their reflective surfaces intended to create a dynamic interaction with the surrounding environment. In the evening, these tiles would reflect the city’s street lights, producing a captivating, ephemeral glow that enhanced the building’s presence within the urban fabric.
